This sculpture is inspired by the construction of a carousel, one of the most commonly known theme park ride. It is based off of specifically the top portion of the ride. My intent was to portray an iconic theme park ride and create an intriguing symbol with it. The skewers were used to create an intricate and detailed pattern. The black foam board helps the actual piece stand out more. I wanted people to think about a theme park by seeing a symbol that represents an iconic ride.
